The Foxcroft School is located in Middleburg in Virginia. It has a total enrollment of only 160 students. Established in 1914, this small, residential school only admits girls from grades 9 to 12. It has a student to faculty ratio of six to one, with 82 percent of the teachers possessing advanced degrees. The school boasts of classrooms that are all equipped with interactive whiteboards. It also has an observatory with several high-powered telescopes, as well as other accessories for astrophotography and to help observe the sun.

Horace Mann School is a private high school located in the Bronx in New York City. Nicholas Murray Butler established the school in 1887 as a co-educational experimental and developmental unit of the Teacher’s College in Columbia.
