Nathan Seefeld Obituary, Death – Brain tumor and Parkinson’s disease were the causes of death for Seefeld, who was 80 years old and lived in Fond du Lac. He passed away on Friday, October 31, 2014, at the Hospice Home of Hope.
Father Alvin Seefeld and mother Helen Weasler Seefeld welcomed their son into the world on January 2, 1934, in the county of Fond du Lac. Right up to the time of his marriage, he called the Campbellsport area home. In 1952, he received his diploma from Campbellsport High School after having attended St. Matthew’s Grade School until that point.
Between the years 1954 and 1956, Donald served his country in the United States military during the Korean War. The wedding took place at Tabor United Brethren Church in Eden on March 2, 1954, and Doris Grahl was the bride. The pair relocated to Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan, where they began their careers as army specialists on the Sault Locks.
Their training had been completed at Fort Leonard Wood in Missouri. They made the move to Eden, where he worked for Mercury Marine for a short period of time. After a few months, he started working as an electrician at Giddings & Lewis, where he remained employed for the next 31 years with the company. In the interim, he worked as an electrician and furthermore owned mobile home parks located all across the state. In addition to being an active hunter, he was a keen bowler.
