Diddy Awarded Key To The City Of New York By Mayor Eric Adams

Diddy has earned another accolade to add to his expansive list of wins. The Hip-Hop mogul received the key to New York City from Mayor Eric Adams last week (Sept. 15) in Times Square.

The ceremony was attended by Yung Miami, Jozzy, Quincy Brown, and Justin Combs according to a press release. Diddy also performed three songs, including his latest single “Another One Of Me.

“The Bad Boy of entertainment is getting the key to the city from the bad boy of politics!” exclaimed Adams per the Associated Press.

“Receiving the key to the city of New York, the very city that molded me, is an honor and incredible moment in my life,” shared the 53-year-old himself.

“From growing up on the streets of Harlem to the international stage – New York’s energy and resilience have always been the backdrop of my story. This city has given me triumphs, life lessons, and love. Today, I accept this key not just for me, but for every dreamer, every hustler, every artist, and every kid from New York who dares to dream big. To Mayor Adams and the city of New York: I promise to keep giving to this city that made me. Thank you for recognizing my journey and my mission to uplift and empower. Let’s continue to make history together.”

The ceremony coincides with Diddy’s newest project The Love Album: Off the Grid, which features The Weeknd, 21 Savage, Justin Bieber, Mary J. Blige, Jazmine Sullivan, H.E.R, Summer Walker, Babyface, John Legend, Teyana Taylor, Coco Jones, and more. Take a listen below.
