Carey Price is a professional ice hockey player who currently plays for the National Hockey League's Montreal Canadiens' goaltender. Selected as the fifth overall pick in the first round of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft, in December 2009, Price was signed by the Canadiens to a two-year, $5.5 million contract. On July 2012, he re-signed to another six-year, $39 million contract with the Canadiens.
In 2004, he was a part of the Canada team which won a silver medal in the World U-17 Hockey Challenge. His team was also the silver medal winner at the IIHF World U18 Championships. He also backstopped the 2007 Canadian team to a gold medal at the World Junior Championships.
